LaMotta got the decision but arguably lost and was in much worst shape than Robinson after the fight. And then SRRbeat LaMotta ass 4 times afterwards.griffith, benvenuiti, and napoles all got knocked out by monzon.
robinson was unstoppable at WW and lost his first fight to, you guessed it, a middleweight named jake. when he'd slowed down some but still had a lot left in the tank he was a MW. far from untouchable, dude won the middleweight title 5 times [because he'd lose it.]
duran also lost to lesser fighters at higher weights. benitez and kirkland laing in the same year come to mind. you really think he was a better fighter at WW than he was at LW? and if not, do you want to tell me why, other than the fact that he's fighting guys who are naturally bigger?
and finally, miguel cotto fought a dead guy. prime martinez would turn cotto's face into an absolute mess, and you know it.
All I'm saying friend is that WW beat MW and Brook is going to beat GGG's ass and add his name to the list of WW champions stepping up to MW and beating the champion.Comment
