Why Fighters Retire After They Face Floyd

Simple , they get the payday, they cash out, its called " Post Mayweather Withdrawal Syndrome"what do fighters look forward to after the Mayweather lottery ticket? Maidana cashed out, Pac cashed out, hell even Berto cashed out, we haven't heard anything about him fighting again!

They say and argue that Floyd fights guys past prime, nah it's more like they get the money and feel they don't have to fight no more or don't want to fight for way smaller payday! Even pacquiao realizes the money and fan interest is way less since fighting Mayweather!

Every fighter goes through post mayweather withdrawal, Alvarez still can't get his career on track, fighting Khan, ducking, and giving up his title?? Even this Brook-Golovkin fight shows that fighters don't know what to do to make big money now that Floyd not on the scene! And the fans are falling in line as evidenced by this board still bringing up Mayweather as the reason why Triple G fighting welterweights instead of super middleweights!

Well in a sense losing to Floyd does make you washed up since you lose the support and loyalty of your fanbase following the defeat.

cuz most fighters were at the end of their career by the time floyd had the balls to fight them.

You mean Oscar and Shane who refused to fight Floyd during their prime?

Um, did Berto beating Ortiz get by you?

                Pac also fought Bradley.

The guy brought in the money, but come on. Guerrero, Alvarez, Ortiz, Berto, all still fighting. Well, Ortiz is doing whatever he does.

They have ceased to make history or be a factor in the sport...after Floyd they fall way back in line and never recover.

But thanks for reminding me Berto and Ortiz did have a rematch completely forgot about that
