Maidana earned the right to do whatever the hell he wants. He had a good career. I'd sure be interested to see him come back, but if he doesn't want to, I'm glad for what he already gave us.

He did say he only fights for the money so i suppose everybody has their own certain level where they are content with the amount they earn and have no desire to fight anymore. He's probably exceeded that amount by far.

When you have earned more than you expect, it's really hard to be motivated to get back in the gym. Even Robert Guerrero took over a year off after his Floyd payday before he decided to fight again. Guerrero seems a very competitive guy so he did fight again but obviously that money allowed him to take a year off. If Maidana is financially very stable then i can't see him ever coming back now, unless he becomes very bored and the itch to see if he still has it.

Enjoy the time off Chino. No need to come back if you don't want to. You already beat all of the top Welterweights of this era. You beat Mayweather twice, Morales, Khan, Ortiz, Broner, Lopez, Soto Karass, Corley. Probably the only fighter in history to beat two Fighters Of The Decade (Mayweather and Broner). You'll be remembered as an All-Time Great whereas Mayweather will be remembered as a businessman coward. I'll never forget how you beat the s**t out of Mayweather will pillow gloves.
