It's not really worth pursuing. Stevenson's entire claim to fame is that he's holding a belt Kovalev is supposed to have.

That's it. His resume is poop. He ducked Hopkins an Pascal. His flagship win is trading knockdowns with an equally mediocre Fonfara. Nobody is going to remember him 2 years from now.

If I were Kovalev's management I wouldn't even return their calls anymore, unless Stevenson suddenly starts taking serious fights and works his way up to legitimate challenger status.

Love Kovalev , but there is NO DENYING that his team pulled out of a purse bid to the fight , the only CLEAR duck in the entire process was that move , you can blame whoever you like and call names until tomorrow night , but if they go to the purse bid we get the fight either on HBO if they feel its important enough to shell out the cash or Show , the fact that it didn't happen is 100% on team kovalev and HBO , everything else is just static noise.

That article didn't shine any light on the situation. So, why aren't they ever going to fight again? Are they trying to imply that Stevenson will be too old when both their schedules are free? Where is the new information?
