Brook Not Taking a Risk Fighting Golovkin

Well I won't say I don't respect Brook and the challenge he's taking but at the end of the day there is no risk when you're expected to lose and go back to your own weight class.....still IBF champion!Yes, it is completely true that Brook is taking zero risk in this fight. Brook was afraid to legitimately lose his 0 to a welterweight like Vargas or Spence, so he is cashing it out to Golovkin because there is no shame in losing to a fighter that is two weight classes above you. Brook deserves zero respect because he is taking zero risk.Comment

Exactly! 👍👍I see what your saying. Even if he gets knocked out in the first round he is still in the exact same position he was in before the fight. If he is going to drop that 0 might as well be in a fight no one is giving you a chance to win.
Had he fought Thurman or Garcia and lost he would go to the back of the line at the welterweight division. Now he can lose and keep his spot.Comment

It all depends on how he fights , if he gets hit clean a few times and just takes a 10 after 2/3 rounds , then it was a money grab , but if he really tries to win and fights with the intention to win he can find himself broken in the end of the fight and this is VERY risky , the belt won't do him any good if he gets beaten to a pulp.Comment

His stock doesn't fall if he loses
but there is a health risk involved
This is a ****** fight and could end up damaging Brook as a fighter forever
Khan got knocked out but he took very little punishment. GGG is capable of putting a serious beating on you. The longer the beating prolongs the more long term damage for Brook
Its better he gets knocked out cold and takes less shots.
There is also the psychological issue of losing his 0 in devastating fashion
How will he bounce back and fight someone dangerous like Spence or Thurman?Comment

So exactly what kind of fight do you want to see? How do they sell this fight as a "War" or a farce? His stock doesn't fall if he loses

I think the look at the size my balls, I'm so brave, taking a risk is bull****! Kell Brook isn't risking anything in this fight, if he loses to Golovkin the world says so what and moves on. The smaller man is suppose to lose, give him a pat on the back and say you're so brave.
It would be a bigger risk for Brook to fight Thurman, Garcia, Bradley, Spence, Khan, or a rematch with Porter. Those are the fights that he should be taking, fights where he would have expectations and something to prove. It is way more pressure to fight a fellow welter, where the competition is real, fighters are hungry, and a loss could end your title reign and set you back! Losing to Golovkin does nothing but put him in the fan empathy section with Amir Khan.
I hope the real fans who can see through this BS continue to agitate against this fight. GGG is the one who needs to move up not Kell Brook! Even worse when considering the competitive matches Haymon and PBC have given us lately while the so called big names and promoters give us mismatches
These clowns can't fool all of us. Feed his 0 to lil g for the right price.Comment

The most obvious example of a forced money fight I ever seen. I thought the Canelo-Khan Farce would hold that position for years but Golovkin-Brook takes the crown and runs with it only a few months later!Comment
