I'd go with Mosley. Too big, too strong and too quick.

What's funny about that? Mosley was huge at the weight, much bigger than Duran. Imagine Duran fighting Mosley with modern day rules, Mosley would rehydrate up to 150 or more and at 5'9'' just has a much bigger height advantage too.

Now I know there would be talk of Duran v Leonard but Leonard wasn't in the age of rehydration. Both guys were roughly the same size that night. There is no way a 5'5''/6'' Duran would have rehydrated to the same amount if things had been different in those days.

Then again it's not just about size, Mosley was just as quick if not quicker than Duran and although he is less ksilled, Duran definitely clever too, there are some odds which are difficult to over come. Especially when we're talking prime v prime.

Mosley had too much hand speed and power at 135. He might be the best 135lber of all time IMO.

Size wouldn't matter, Duran went up and was competitive with one of the greatest MWs of all time, Mosley got schooled in 5 fights by top level boxers; Winky, Forrest, and Floyd. Duran would have easily beaten him, no question. Take away Shanes controversial Oscar wins and there isn't much there in the resume department besides some decent wins, "he fast and powerful, doe."

I'm not dis*****g the size part. Mosley is bigger no doubt but size doesn't always equal strength. There is no way Mosley was the stronger fighter of the two. Duran went up to fight at middleweight and put beatings on bigger men than Mosley like Davie Moore for example and Moore was a strong aggressive fighter. Duran was also strong enough to hang with Hagler and then Barkley who would go on to fight as a heavyweight. At lightweight Duran was freak of nature. Mosley wouldn't be able to understand the type of beast that was in front of him .
