From what Hearn is saying, they had little choice. The Eubanks' over the top demands killed the fight.
Snr's reputation as a control freak seems to come justified.
That was Eubank's first real 'big' fight, and they managed to let it fall through due to un-realistic demands. Hopefully this is a lesson learnt, as Eubank should be involved in these big fights now at this stage in his career.Comment

Apparently you haven't been reading industry news or actual testimonials from Hearn that he made it specifically clear that the promotional structure was the same skeleton offering as for Joshua. Therefore, Hearn wasn't interested in any "co-promoted" style rules when he, the promoter, is exclusive to his ways which he just told us: No Change of Ticket prices, as he called it "double" even though the 02 Arena has been doing well for his events, two, no voice over who's to be on the cards, and 3, commentary. Saunders are already testified that the Eubank's are "consistent" with these styles of negotiations yet Saunders still fought him...
Eubank Sr. is a gee. Amazing how none of the three Hearn specifically mentioned were considered... What does that tell you?Comment

Yes. I am sure that, in his next and final fight for Hearn, Eubank Jr. will be lucky to receive one-fifth of the amount he was going to be paid to fight Golovkin. Also, neither he nor his father will have any control over any aspect of the fight.Comment

I think Hearn works on the GGG fight for them for December. Cashes the kid out with a beatdown and sends him on his way.Comment

He's been a horrible manager for Jr. If he wants to train him, fine that's cool, but this micro management **** is too much. Won't happen any time soon unfortunately but Jr needs to wise up and hire a real manager. Sr is delusional. He killed the Saunders rematch, were in positions for Danny Jacobs and instead went another direction and now this with Golovkin. Not good!Comment
