The problem is he got ****ed around for so long, first Canelo wasting all year by demanding an extension with an agreement to fight after only for him to drop the belt, then Saunders turns him down and now after 3-4 weeks working with Hearn to finalize the Eubank deal Eubank won't sign, so at that point they said f uck it and took the same deal that was on the table for Eubank on UK PPV to fight Brook. It's either take the deal on the table for good money in the UK, or start from scratch searching for someone else when they already know options are slim.

It's not the fight anyone wanted besides Brook.

His own promoter is saying Eubank Sr made demands that weren't possible and wanted to restructure the entire PPV.

Personally, I think Eubank is a good kid and fighter but his father is delusional and a bad manager for his son. They've turned down the Saunders rematch, had an opportunity to get Danny Jacobs but went another domestic direction and now this. Jr needs to get a real manager and just have his dad train him, not control his entire career, imo
