But this: GGG at 160, with no tune up at 154 at least, is insane. Brook can't even contemplate some sort of a game plan to begin with.
Brook has a every chance to come up with a game plan, the fight is months away. Whether or not it is a good game plan or one that works is entirely different.

I personally think Brook will just have to do what he always does. Try and counter and impose himself physically. Not shy away, give GGG a fight, cast shadows in his mind, make the bigger man rethink his size.

Brook is strong enough to last 8 rounds (I felt Khan would last 6). After that, it will be all GGG, probably a KO around round 10.

Brook's strength and speed at 147 are likely not to be conserved at 160... not against GGG at least. Golovkin can easily fight from his back foot for a while (as he did with Lemieux), because he has the best power jab to date... And when GGG decides to start shifting the fight will be over in 10 to 20 seconds or so...

I'm just saying that's the only shot he has. He isn't a stick and move kinda guy and doesn't have a high level of combination punching speed. Brook doesn't even need to out strength GGG, he does had to show GGG he won't be intimidated or back off.

        No puncher likes that.

Lee, his right hook is dangerous. Far more heavier and stockier than Ishida any day of the week, and completely different in skill at 160...

So yeah, since people are referencing the context about Ouma in which I stated, a 154 "slick" and 7 losses coming in against Golovkin going 10 and sparking him up, YES, I know the reason why Abel and Lil'G have avoided top Southpaws.

Lil'G's defense is horrid against Southpaws. Monroe Jr... how many KO's does the kid have? Is he a world champ?

          NSB makes it too easy.

... after two-three rounds with GGG in the ring, Brook will get intimidated for sure... factually intimidated...

He needs to have what Khan didn't: defence.

If Kovalev/Ward doesn't happen for some reason (who the **** knows what could go wrong, this is boxing), I might have to walk away for a while. What Alvarez and Golovkin have done are exactly why boxing sucks ass and damn near isn't worth supporting anymore, because we're not getting the good fights to make up for the nonsense anymore.

From a technical perspective, there's not a lot he can do as his strengths are negated by GGG being taller, significantly bigger, and a FAR more powerful puncher.
Kell won't be as fast as when he's a welter so his defensive opportunities decline here. I think he simply needs to stick a hard shot and move. Repeatedly, not unlike Mayweather's offense. Single shots that keep the opponent from attacking, force him to reset, and keep you out of danger.

Problem is, that's not really his style and he'll have a hell of a time implementing it here. Very narrow path to victory here is what makes this such an awful fight.

To me the issue with the fight is for Brook to win he has to call on several skills that he has never shown before, not impossible but also rather unlikely especially in this situation. He had a couple opportunities to show some useful skill to this situation but he went about winning the fights the way he was and didn't really stray.

He might have some extra capabilities, I would have figured he would have made the Porter fight easier for himself if he did but Porter is not exactly an easy guy to fight.

It is like asking someone at random to do a standing back flip, chances of the person getting the job done is pretty slim because even if they have the athletic ability do they have the ability to turn that raw athletic talent into a standing back flip.
