golovkin - lemieux did 150,000 buys on ppv. not great, but the fight actually turned a profit, and got used to people paying for a golovkin fight. fight was exciting. wasn't happy about it, but i paid the money with the understanding that golovkin's opponents, hopefully alvarez, will grow a pair and fight.
now, onto lara:
lara did 490 k on regular showtime! 480 K on basic f#cking cable channel ESPN against zaveck
. do you even udnerstand what that means?golovkin did nearly 3 times that amount on hbo against dominick f#cking wade. he's the biggest draw on premium cable. sold out the forum in englewood, too. lara can't sell out his back yard.
but again, if lara wants the fight, all he's got to do is ask. come to 160 and get the work. it's a better fight htan brook. but he hasn't asked! his people have not once contacted a network, or loeffler, for a fight.
if golovkin's people are really ducking you, then call his bluff on wanting to get the belts at 160 and contend for one. easy work, right?
in reality, the golovkin detractors know damn well that lara's people know he hasn't an iceberg's chance in hell. they saw him fight alfredo angulo
