Ridiculous article. Belt or no belt the Canelo/GGG fight only happens on ginger's terms now or a year from now.
Canelo is bringing Smith and possibly BJS to the US in September and if the BJS fight happens it will be in Vegas as well.
Meanwhile GGG with all of his paper titles has to go across the pond to fight a welterweight who has one decent win to his name. GGG a big star doe.

Canelo is young and Oscar prefers to go fight-by-fight, by avoiding any possible career damaging steps and/or dangers. Smith is the only eligible champion for GB at 154 and fighting him looks much more "safer" than fighting a full 160 champ (division in which Canelo practically has no fight so far).
