Good luck to him... I think he is probably the best welter in the world, and he is challenging the best middleweight in the world.. I give him props for taking on ggg.

No shame to Brook though if he believes in himself that much.
I have always been a bit of a Brook admirerer... even for his two years not doing anything as I don't feel he could be wholly blamed... he almost died in a machete attack... that took him a while to recover... and then he needed an easy opponent... and then mandatory challengers.. I feel like the time was now for him to excel... a Vargas fight... followed by Thurman... and then a move to 154 for Canelo... But no word of a lie... him taking this fight removes my admiration for him... it is complete career suicide and an obvious cash out... Brook could have been a very good (and potentially HOF) welterweight/super welterweight... not now... now he will make good money getting knocked out and never be relevant again.

I've given Kell a lot of stick the last year and a bit, but this is a major risk. Count me in, even though I know it'll end in disaster.

That's a shame, don't get me wrong, Golovkin is a great boxer with a lot of potential but he's wasting his talent with fights like this. We all know that Golovkin is a....how to say it without offending anybody here?....um, let's say he's a guy who's avoiding to take risks, but that's just getting hilarious. He was mocking Canelo for fighting small Amir Khan and he was saying that it's a disrespect to boxing but right now he's doing the same damn thing and planning to fight a smaller guy. It's getting harder to defend Golovkin with each passed year, damn

I love how Golovkin and the mother****ers on his team milking the pro boxing industry, taking easy fights, getting good money for manhandling some bums under house arrest and laughing at these dumb boxing fans while counting $$$ and making people think he's the best thing in boxing. I have to respect the guy for that

And when people got tired of seeing bartenders, cab drivers and barbers, Golovkin changed the plan and start fighting small boxers to make even more money. That's brilliant

I think Brook can take his power up with him to 160.

But I'd have given him a better shot at 154

It won't be a brutal as Khan / Canelo, but I don't think Brook will see the final bell.

Typical correct answer. What you want me to do, erase my memory of GGG's 21 consecutive stoppage streak against guys bigger than Brook and pretend Brook has a chance?
