1) Maybe there's a CW. Talks six months ago were that Brook wanted ggg at 155, remember?
2) Brook is a big WW and is no chinny.
3) Maybe he's coming in lighter to prepare himself for Canelo.
4) Brook's and GGG fight night weight will be the same if there's a CW.

Dude, I'm as big of a Golovkin fan as anyone on the site, but this fight is horribe and the decision to fight Brook is absolutely awful for Golovkin's career.

He's gonna get roasted for picking on a smaller guy (rightfully so)
He wont get any respect if he wins
He will lose absolutely everything he ever fought for if he loses
He'll lose most of the respect if he doesn't win faster than Khanelo
If there's a CW, he may screw up his body by draining.

He literally stands nothing to gain from this fight, besides adding a good name to the resume.


Don't get me wrong, this is actually an exciting fight because of the styles/power.. but it's just an awful move for Golovkin's career.

I rate Kell higher than most people but this fight won't even be remotely competitive. I'm slightly curious because both guys are tremendously skilled, but deep down I know this fight isn't lasting more than 6. I would've much rather seen Canelo vs Kell
