Team Canelos plan is kind of like what Mayweather did to Pacquaio. By the time they fight GGG will be pushing 36 and Canelos only hope is that he gets lucky and that happens to be the fight where GGG gets old. Canelo will still be in his prime though. Maybe because GGG has not taken a lot of punishment in his career and has not fought a ton of rounds then maybe this won't happen. I would feel a lot better though if they fought this fall versus next fall or even spring 2018. Canelo know GGG is his second loss waiting to happen and he's going to hold out as long as he can. He does not need no damn tune up.fights at middleweight. The dude comes in fight night as a light heavyweight so that BS excuse has to stop.

Not a credible theory. They don't need ggg to make big money. They feel that Canelo needs to develop before facing the top 160lber. They're waiting on Canelo to develop, not ggg to fail.

But 155 IS THERE, IDIOT! Why hasn't that 97k ppv bum signed yet? HE FEARS CANELO, just like he fears Ward and Lara.

Who cares if 155 is there idiot GGG is a middleweight and Canelo was middleweight champ. If he's not scared why vacate the title. Canelo is a huge Jr middleweight anyway so why not fight at 160. Your quote made no sense man your contradicting yourself.

Speaking of your boy lara, truth be told he beat Canelo, just like Trout did. Those trout-canelo scorecards were the worst I've ever seen. I could see a draw, where a lot of ringside observers had it, but still think trout did enough for a 115-113 win.

Canelo is fighting as a Junior Middleweight. There is no reason to fight GGG unless GGG comes down to 154. People need to move on until/if Canelo goes to middleweight. You asked him to give up the belt if he wasn't going to fight the full 160 and he did.

We all know that, tell us something we don't already know. So what's the point of this thread? It sucks as fans but I get why Canelo's doing it. He's the money fighter, so he's gonna take full advantage of so. It's not right but that's part of the game.

Waiting for him to get old is an added bonus for them.
THey're waiting him out because they saw Mayweather's blue print of making as much money fighting garbage in the interim

What this really is, is a preemptive excuse from a hardcore ggg fan who is worried that if ggg fights Canelo in a year or two, that ggg might lose and OP's trying to plant the seed in people's minds that it will not be a legit win.

Develop what? He's been a pro for 11 years, he's at his peak. Further, why fight down? Fighting Amir Khan and now Smith isn't helping him develop and prepare him for top middleweights. You know what would? Fighting actual middleweights.

Canelo and Co are simply fighting who they want, when they want. He can because he's a popular Mexican fighter and can fight anyone he wants. It's worked for them well so far, like fighting Kermit Cintron and Shane Mosley when shot. Fighting Matthew Hatton for a world title. Fighting Angulo after he got stopped twice . Fighting Kirkland when he was so inactive and no longer with Wolfe. And now fighting the weakest link at 154 rather than his mandatory Golovkin or even a top champion at 154.

He's opportunistic and they will continue to be opportunistic. If Golovkin happens to look terrible against Eubank, I'm sure they'll jump all over it. If he looks good, "need more time, not a middleweight yet!"
