To be honest I'd do the same. No point in taking big risks when you have the cash cow of the division lined up in your sights. Stay busy, stay sharp ready for serious camp when the time comes. Then at least it won't be too difficult get to fight night fitness.

What's he meant to do? He's got the mando spot locked up - now it's just a matter of getting the paperwork and dates in order for the real fight - AJ/Parker.

He really just needs a warm body in the meantime.

Sure, as fans, we'd like to see top notch fights all the time, but it's just not practical when Parker's team is clearly focusing on one goal.

Parker has already stepped up and beaten a level above anything AJ has seen.

This is false..parker has fought ONE live body and almost arguably lost to the aged Takam , had Takam been more aggressive. Joshua has fought by far the right guys to build up his skills,Parker has not. It doesn't matter you will see after he fights AJ the quality in skill difference b/c of poor management on Parkers side, with or without fighting a rugby player. Joshua is fighting Stiverne now it seems,do you really that gives parker the edge of fighting a guy hes fighting?
