Loma by UD. We never really saw Valero against somebody as high caliber a technician as Loma.

Mikey Garcia dropped Salido, tore him up, and Mikey Garcia is on record for saying the hardest puncher he ever faced was Valero. Valero always wanted the Pac bout. If Singsurrat and Torrecampo KO'd Pac, Valero would've put him to sleep too. Valero had hard hitting combos. I think Valero would've stopped Gamboa or Mikey Garcia at 126.

To be fair Salido was only Lomas second pro fight. There definitely is an adapting period when going from amatuer to pro. Even only five fights later i believe its a totally different fight if they rematch.

Valero was a murderous puncher i definitely dont wanna disrespect him. He was on a tear and was on a path to do amazing things in the sport before what happened, happened.

But as hardcore fans we know just because fighter A made quick work of fighter B, and fighter B beat C, doesnt automatically mean fighter A is beating fighter C. Ala Ali-Foreman-Frazier.

Would be a hell of a match up tho. God damn, thinking of Valero & Gamboa going at it gives me the ****ing chills too.

I think it would look a lot like Hopkins-Pascal 1

They are both excellent fighters. Loma has a good chance to win.

Valero is one of the biggest what ifs in boxing, he was very skilled, and as mentioned punched very hard and had a very agressive relentless style, probably from having to fight alot in his poverty child days, but not only was Valero a big puncher he also worked very hard in the gym, he was always in top shape, and his trainer said in multiple interviews that they always train to go the full distance, so i think Valero was definetly the complete package, the only downside would be that he wasnt too hard to hit

At 135 Valero would've knocked Loma****'s head clean off, en dos rounds!
