Andrade isn't saying anything any differently from what GGG and everybody else, barring Canelo, has said about Lara. Its bull****. But if GGG gets a pass, why doesn't Andrade?

Last May, WBA upgrade Lara to Super and Cuclay to Regular. Other sanctioning bodies still don't' recognize the regular WBA though.

Wasn't Gamboa allowed to unify his Wba regular with Salidos Ibf? Then they made the Wba unified title to avoid having 2 super champs

I don't even mind this. Why is it a big deal? Because he doesn't want to fight Lara yet? I'm not even sure if Lara wants that fight yet. He's already up next for a title shot so the fight with Lara can wait. Pretty sure everyone in that division is gonna pray for a canelo fight anyways.

You got half a point, nobody is really clamoring to fight unpopular runners. Obvious difference is Laras a champ in contender Andrades division. Plus it's same TV network, and a much more competitive fight than the Ggg mismatch

Don't know. Did Salido have a mandatory in the way that could have blocked the Gamboa fight? Because as far as I can tell, that's the only situation where "recognizing" another champion comes into play. WBA seems the only sanctioning body that give some special special recognition for unification.

Pretty much every opponent GGG's fans "clamour" for are huge underdogs and the fights are considered mismatches. Never stopped y'all from wanting to see him fight the guys. Hell, the only guy GGG wasn't considered a huge favorite against is Ward. And that's the one that y'all made excuse after excuse that he shouldn't fight. Doesn't makes sense to me.

I think people are ignoring the fact that this does nothing for Lara right now. Andrade is dangerous and doesn't have a name yet. Lara might not be tremendously popular but I think this fight is less attractive of him than it is for Andrade.

I understand why people would be dissapointed about this, but I can live with this fight to allow others to marinate. If you do Andrade/Culcay and Charlo/Hatley on the same card with the winners meeting, I can't see much to complain about. Especially considering you already have Smith busy fighting Canelo and the other Charlo getting ready to fight J Rock. And he isn't wrong about Lara being in boring fights, so I don't mind him going after other belt-holders.

Yeah you're a right, a mando is the only real test of their stance towards Wba regular.
