You're severely underrating Bruce Lee by calling him "just an actor" and posting a video of him relaxing on the heavy bag. There are hundreds of videos that show off his amazing speed. His qualifications as both a martial artist (student of Yip Man, opened his own school) and an amazing physical athlete are well documented as well (one inch punch, one finger pushups, dragon flag, etc).

Why are you so dismissive of Lee? Is Dennis Rodman less of an athlete because he did a stint in WWF? Is Michael Jordan not the GOAT because he did Space Jam? Is Mike Tyson suddenly a crappy boxer because he was in Hangover and hosts some TV show now?

Considering Lee died in early 70s, there's very limited footage of him as you very well know. That doesn't mean his reputation and his documented skills were not real. There virtually no footage of Harry Greb either, does that make any difference?

Even if you ignore Lee's entertainment career, you're left with a man who's known for some of the fastest kicks and punches shown to the masses, for establishing one of the first martial arts schools that taught westerners, for creating his own style of martial art based on physics, philosophy and traditional Wing Chun -- and all of this by the time he was in his mid 20s.

You're right in that he did not choose to follow a career of a traditional fighter, but completely dismissing him as a martial artist and athlete is absolutely wrong.

More than 3 punches to the body is exposing himself a lot unless you have your opponent lying against the rope, your head located in his chest.

In the clip, Loma is probably throwing 16 or more punches in a few seconds, which is mainly for rhythm and cardio during shadow boxing sessions.

In a fight, you would get inside, and throw at most 3-4 fast hooks or uppercuts to the body, with the intention of forcing the opponent to drop his hands to cover his ribcage with his elbows. Then, without breaking rhythm, you throw a hard hook to the head.

You can also use this technique in other ways. Instead of ending with a hard hook, you can throw the flurry, then immediately duck and pivot out to the right, turning your opponent and setting up a stiff jab-straight before the they can see the shots coming.
