He got Vargas to come to England to fight a fight that brook will have all the advantages in. I mean did he think he was going to get a guy of that caliber to come to England for cheap?

You know what f' it, move on Vargas and let brook keep fighting his bum of the month club.
I agree Brook should go over to the US because that's where 99% of the WW's are located.

Hearn said he has lost money on Brook, and Brook says he's not happy with the deals Hearn is negotiating for him. I think it's time they part ways.

According to Hearn if the Vargas fight falls through, they have Berto or Peterson lined up.

I think Vargas is really testing himself against brook. Respect. Most fighters these days take the Thurman root and stall elite competition until they have to step up. This in a way is a make or break fight for Vargas. I hope he can pull it off for his sake

And I think Canelo vs Smith should be in the UK. Liam has the title and Canelo has the onus, the mark of Cain. Liam's fan base is still intact, while Canelo's has shriveled up, like raisins. Make him earn his pay, get Liam that good ol' home town edge. Oh yeah, Brook? Too much home town edge.

Yeah it's not because he is worried about Vargas

In all seriousness, no excuses for this fight not to happen-

Respect to Vargas for not giving up, i wudnt blame him if he said "forget about it" and went and fought someone else

If you guys think Kell will face Spence, then you've been smoking crack
I remember Chaves and Devon but totally forgot about Bradley and Rios..

The sad bit about all of these stuff is, Brook would actually beat all of these guys IMHO. I get sooooooooo frustrated because you can see the skills, potential in him. But him testing it against the better names is what i want to see him do year in year out. He won the belt from Porter 2 years ago in august and we can safely say he hasn't done anything since to build his career for a bigger, better and well paid fight.

Rios rejected the fight in favour of Bradley. He was considering retirement - As came out. As if Brook would duck that slob.

Bradley withdrew from an IBF eliminator and has rejected an offer previously - to fight Pacquiao, which is fair, but nevertheless.

Not as i remember it. Rios was piss with Brook and his team for not wanting the fight. He couldn't be bothered waiting around for that BS as he thought he was better than that. Am sure someone other than yourself can dig out the story behind this.

Of course that was the way they were trying to say it. But Cameron Dunkin, Rios' manager, said publicly that they offered his biggest ever purse after the Pacquiao fight and he should take it. I believe Arum said the same thing.

however, what happened was (as was revealed after the Bradley fight), Rios was 185 lbs or something and couldn't get his head together for training and wanted to quit - This was in July when they were supposed to fight Brook in August/September.

So obviously it's easy to put the blame on Brook, but why the hell would he give an offer to Rios if he didn't intend fighting him? that's just dumb.

Rios was considering retirement, dropped out of the Brook fight to fight Bradley in November instead.
