  • July 4th : celebrating floyd mayweather

In 2006, Floyd Mayweather paid 750k to Bob Arum for HIMSELF. It is often mistakenly referred to as a "finacial investment" because of the nature of his success - he was released from his top rank contract and went on to become the wealthiest fighter of all time.

But the true value of this investment is not to measured by a monetary amount.

With that purchase came; The freedom for his family; The purchase of an individuals independence; The liberation of his imagination.

As we celebrate the original 13 colonies who made a declaration of independence from British rule - let us true boxing fans acknowledge Floyd Mayweather as someone whom embodied the revolutionary spirit, a true American hero.

Thank you Floyd , you are a true inspiration.

Mayweather is a great fighter and he gets plenty of praise. He hasn't done anything except stay retired and enjoy his great wealth and not have to train his ass off and get punched in sparring and fights. That is an intelligent thing to do. Why would I celebrate that?

Mayweather is in the news again. He's opening up a strip club in Vegas.
