martinez said both boxers want to fight each other, he is blaming the promoters ...

He's also said it is the fighters say in the end. The promoter works for the fighter, not the other way around. If Canelo wanted it, the fight would be made.

He has also publicly said its the fighters choice in the end. If Canelo truly demanded the fight, put public pressure of GB it would be done.

There is no hiding behind the promoter. He said he commanded his team to make the fight. He lied.

Ok so he has no faith in Team Canelo stepping up for another 4-5 years. I though Canelo is his own man anyway, he's already overriden his promoter over Trout and Lara, and he wasn't getting a fraction of the disrespect he's getting now

That was the story anyways. They hyped Canelo up by saying he overruled his promoter to be a different kind of champ.

But truth is, they took Trout and Lara knowing he only had to make the fight competitive to win. No matter how bad Canelo performs he's getting at least one judge.

They won't play that with GGG right now because they know it doesn't go 12.

Canelo will fight GGG when he feels GGG has been weakened enough that he can make it 12 and use the rigged judges.

They chose Smith because they don't think he can KO Canelo. If Smith wins the Canelo fight the judges won't give him the win.
