Lol, seriously. Instead of wanting to see their guys in the best fights, the people who happen to only like ggg, Loma, and Kov all get pissed as soon as any decent fighter wants to fight their boys. Why the insecurity??

I welcome this. Mikey needs to get reacclimated but this would be great for late 2017 when Loma has filled out a bit (if he still plans to do that).

I obviously can't speak for everyone, but I would argue that fans of those particular fighters are not insecure, but rather frustrated. When fighters consistently talk tough, but then refuse to actually get in the ring with the guy they are always talking tough about, it gets old pretty fast. I'm not insinuating that is what Garcia is doing here. But the 3 fighters you mentioned have all had that happen to them many times (Canelo, Jacobs, Froch, Saunders, Walters, Stevenson, etc...you get the idea). I think most boxing fans would like to see the best fight the best. Just so happens that in its current state, most fighters like to talk on twitter and not fight in the ring. It's a sad state of affairs. Also sad is that many people view these twitter "call-outs" as legitimate and use them to claim that one fighter is ducking another. Lara-GGG is the perfect example. Lara talks about fighting Golovkin all the time on his twitter feed. It's public knowledge that his team has not once reached out to Golovkin's to try and make a fight. Not a peep. Nor has he taken another fight at 160 so he could quickly become a mandatory. People talk, and that's often all it is...and it can be frustrating. Has nothing to do with insecurities.

It's beyond that, man. Ward says he's going to fight Kovalev and you've got 200 douchebags here making threads like, "Ward will never fight Kovalev". Eubank wants Golovkin and the same thing happens. It's like a preemptive thwart against even marginal competition. It's insecurity as a fan. Very few of them ever say, "Yes! I want to see my guy take this challenging fight." Why can't they ever say that?? Some would say it's because they're not boxing fans, they're fans of certain characters in this male soap opera they call boxing. As a boxing fan, I love seeing the best fight the best and if someone fakes a call-out, I'll shame him afterward like I did Golovkin, not before

And, you saying that it's "public knowledge" Lara never tried to negotiate is beyond childish. Who here is tapped into their phone lines, emails, etc. Unbelievable that fans claim to know what's going on behind the scenes. This isn't the WWE camera in Vince McMahon's office. Come on. The only thing we know about that situation is that GGG's team never called Lara's bluff, but they did show disinterest when interviewed.

Is fighting Ward at 164 a duck or scheduling a fight with Kova a duck?

You people need to stop generalizing just because of a few fans. There is always going to be crazy fans. That's just part of it. It's not like Ward or Mikey Garcia don't have any fans that make them look bad. Also, not everyone that likes Kovalev and GGG like Loma. It gets annoying when people generalize like that. "Oh you like GGG you must like Loma and Kovalev."
I'm a Kovalev and Loma fan and I welcome the Ward and Mikey Garcia fight.
I talk to other (real) Loma fans all the time about possible fights and a Garcia fight comes up quite often, as well as a Walters fight.
It's a fight that won't happen anytime soon imo. I bet they're going to build it up a little and Mikey needs to make a comeback anyway.

Respect. I hate even lumping those 3 guys together because they are very different fighters who I all respect. I'm more referring to a certain group of fans.

Until you have to deal with these annoying guys constantly following you around the forum, sending you PMs when you don't reply, having their alts bomb you with red k, don't tell me I need to stop generalizing.
