That was a bit of a b*tch move. lol

broner had him virtually out on his feet at the end of the 11th, IIRC. great, great fight that one. how good the fight was gets lost in how happy NSB was to see broner lose and be humbled :lol1. that fight was classic.

Had Floyd not forced Maidana to use sparring gloves, he would have KOd floyd easily worse than Broner.

only because he hit maidiana after the bell. I say Marcos woulda finished him off without the cheap shot. and I don't know why marcos did not hit him after the bell. what I want to know is what is Broner taking??

no, he was eating a lot of punches. the shot that rocked him through the minute rest was after the bell, yes, but broner had been landing clean counters. and does a punch not do damage or add to the drama [again, maidana was virtually out on his feet] simply because it was after the bell?

and maidana didn't hit him back because he was all but out on his feet. he literally hadn't recovered by the time the 12th had started.

I've always liked maidana. He gave Floyd his due. Floyd had a good chin and of course his defense was second to none. Is it that surprising to hear from a fighter or a fan Larry?

Because he was knocked out so many times, hurt so many times, and down so many times in his career.

Yeah, i've always said this. Broner basically fights in a way that is not really suited to his attributes.

I think he did get caught up in the whole trying to fight like Floyd thing, but it's a style that nobody else can really do that effectively. Floyd has spent his whole life mastering it and it was perfectly suited to his strengths. If Broner spent the time honing his own style to suit the gifts he has, he would be a much better fighter.

I think he just lacks a bit of self awareness and tries to be something he's not. He's the kind of guy that would probably listen to a trainer and their game plan and then thinks he knows better anyway and do whatever he wants. He probably needs a no nonsense trainer who's going to get him fighting to his strengths. There isn't many fighters in boxing that have as much natural ability as Broner, but there are guys who know how to fight in a way best for them, hence why Maidana beat him. Maidana was under no illusions that he's some slick boxer, so he never tried to be.

                    BEST DEFENSE
Mayweather: You can barely land more than two consecutive punches on him. You can catch him in relatively solid fashion with the first, but he would adjust his body to soften the second and then he’s either gone or grabs you.

                    BEST CHIN
Mayweather and Erik Morales: These two guys had solid chins. I caught them with clean punches and they would never blink.

                    FASTEST HANDS
Amir Khan: He is just too fast with his hands and able to throw 4-5 punches out of the blue.

                    FASTEST FEET
Mayweather: The way his legs position him to either defend or to attack is just amazing.

                    SMARTEST
Mayweather: He just simply used (his intelligence) to do everything just right.

                    STRONGEST
Adrien Broner: I know people think I gave him the beating of his life but trust me, Adrien is really strong. The last round against him he came at me like a true warrior, asking for more and more.

                    BEST PUNCHER
Victor Ortiz: This is the hardest puncher I’ve faced. He didn’t drop me three times in our fight for nothing. Yet, I knocked him out.

                    BEST SKILLS
Mayweather and Morales: Although two totally different styles these guys really know how to box and to get away from dangerous situations to come back with their own arsenal.

                    BEST OVERALL
Mayweather: Simply the best of his time. Undoubtedly the best I’ve ever faced is Floyd Mayweather. Too smart, slick and also has a tough chin. I put a lot of pressure on him, especially in the first fight, and I guess it was such a close bout. In fact, I thought I had won the fight when the final bell rang. He was never able to do anything in that first encounter and I was the aggressor throughout. The rematch was different since he took the bike. And when Floyd does that there‘s not much you can do to catch him.

Floyd fights too good! I just wanted to see him on his azz, that **** talking azz clown.
**** Floyd, he fights too good.

Mosley nearly had him out of there. It is what it is, Ployd is the best of this era. Puck Ployd. Pinche Ployd!
