I don't think he is technically sound enough to beat GGG. I haven't seen anything Eubank jr does exceptionally well, but i like his spirit coming into this fight. Can't wait.

I would say that you are not a very good fighter and he's simply using techniques you don't even know exist. You are looking through the hole and missing the doughnut. If you took that fight in a heartbeat you would get KO'ed in a heartbeat too. I wouldn't want to be trained by a person who 'didn't see anything special' about Golovkin, as they clearly don't know the sweet science. The only person that has a decent chance of beating him is p4p Ward (who's now moved to 175). Gilberto Ramirez could possibly cause problems (big 168 lber with massive height and reach advantages). Golovkin would still beat him, because he can negate the reach by cutting off the ring. Golovkin is 160. If only a p4p fighter or a fighter divisions above you could pose problems to you, you are special. Simple as that. Golovkin owns 160, whilst Eubank gets shook by Spike O'Sullivan, and made to look silly by BJS (until he gassed).

Lol, you go out of your way to illustrate how people aren't as knowledgeable of the sport as you, then you go on to say BJS gassing is the reason Chris started to turn the tides...

BTW, the reason BJS beat Chris over the first several rounds was that Chris was convinced he could time him with the left hook. When he abandoned that and did a 180 by pressuring Saunders, that's why things changed. Not because BJS gassed, because Eubank entirely changed what he was doing. Was too late for Jr to pull ahead though. He threw away too many rounds trying to time Saunders, who himself has excellent timing.

Wish they'd officially announce this already and get the press tour going. I imagine they'll have some great buildup to the fight itself.

I think this will be by far Golovkin's toughest pro-fight. We've yet to see somebody put Golovkin on the backfoot, which might take him out of his zone. Could become a dirty inside fight if neither can push the other back. People expecting Chris to get folded easily by Golovkin should be in for a surprise.

Love his confidence but when Eubank feels that first hard jab on his nose or left hook to the body reality will set in real quick. Hoping he shocks the world though.

He's actually quite the boxer when faced with power punches and quite the destroyer when faced with someone that offers no real power.

Eubank doesn't posses the power to threaten GGG and make him fight off the backfoot. It will be Eubank that fights off his back foot and will get slaughtered Willie Monroe Jr style.

Then GGG's fans will anoint him as the greatest MW of all time.

It's odd because senior was almost like a karate fighter in his discipline. Precise, crisp, retracted his arms and returned to his stance in an almost robotic way.
Jr turns into a wild, clubbing barbarian every time he goes on offense. I though Sr would have nixed that. Esp since Jr looked different in his early fights.

He may be capable of being disciplined if he's not searching for a knockout. The discipline may also come from an increase in the level of respect for his opponent.

Lemieux & Stevens only put Golovkin on the backfoot for a few seconds at a time, essentially Golovkin moved back to reset the action. Otherwise he stalked both of those guys and kept them moving backwards for 95% of those fights.

The only guy in his pro-career to not get put on the backfoot for the vast majority of the fight with GGG was Ouma. Ouma was able to endure the shots and stayed in the pocket. He paid dearly for it, earning a concussion but he also gave Golovkin his most difficult fight.

I'll argue that Eubank has as much power (maybe slightly less) as Jacobs. His technique gets sloppy at times and that hurts his power, but when its right he legit hurts people. I thought he was going to kill Chudinov towards the end of their fight. And that's another thing, Chris has impressive stamina. He's able to maintain high activity w/o taking steam off his punches and keeps his beard late (actually looks like he takes a punch better later in the fight, but that could be b/c his opponents are gassed by then).

Sure wish other MW had Eubank's attitude. Good on him for stepping up. Fans greatly appreciate this; and if he beats Golovkin, he'll surely become the face of boxing in the UK.

That said, Jr., despite his youth and athleticism, is still too raw for Golovkin. And I feel we'll see new aspects of GGG's skill set. Detractors who consider Golovkin as just another power puncher will have an opportunity to take notice.

Anyway, I really hope the fight gets signed soon!
