Brand (Ward's next opponent) looks absolutely terrible in sparring

Reporter: How was the preparation and sparring with Alexander Brand?

Rod Salka: First day of sparring when I hit Brand with a left Power Jab on his faceguard, he went down and didn't get up for 2 minutes. After that his trainer (his son) sent me home. I am still waiting for my money. 35 bucks.

Badou Jack needed a gift decision to beat Brand, Brand is on par with a SMW champion and Ward is taking him as a tune up lol.

Brand was barely 3 years pro in that fight, he didn't start boxing until 32, people keep talking like Brand is some shot past his prime boxer when he's in his prime. Jack is at least on par with Bute, Pascal's best win at 175. Ward already tried getting a fight with Shabranskyy and got ducked, nobody wants to fight him.

Brand became pro at 32 because he had an extensive amateur career. He fought in the 2003 panamerican games as an amateur, for example. Doesn't even have a successful history in the amateurs...

And he's 40, he is not prime at all. And he's no LHW either. Come on just say it, this fight sux.

I expect nothing else from Ward, the guy has fought 3 grade A bums in his last 4 fights.

November can't come soon enough.

I wonder how Ward will go? Will he fall head 1st into the canvas? Will it be a highlight reel KO? Will he quit on his corner? Will he take a knee?
