you think pac should get the credit for ending Margaritos prime? How about the brutal stoppage mosley had vs him or for that matter the punches he had to take from cotto? Fact is, he was never really very good and without illegal wraps he was mediocre at best.

He got his butt kicked by Mosley...but dude go look at that Pacquaio fight again by the 9th round we were screaming at the TV hoping the ref would stop that. He walked into a hell of a lot of nasty punches. Mosley did have some effect but Pacquaio put the nail in that coffin. For a lot of fighters eating 400 power shots is the equivalent of 4 fights worth of punishment and that's with breaks in between to let the brain heal..he took that in one night.

to be honest, even though he beat cotto in their first fight, I think Margarito lost some of his prime that night. He took several flush head shots all night. Then mosley completely sparked him and got the tko, yes pac put the nail in the coffin, especially since he massacred his eye but I think Margarito was already pretty run down by then.

I can partially agree with that. I do think just about any neurosurgeon would say that 400 plus power shots to the head (remember pacquaio head hunted the whole fight) would take years off anyone's life. That fight would be stopped today by the 6/7th round. Margs had hella pop even after the Mosley wraps situation because he broke Pacquaio's ribs with one shot, that takes power. I actually put money on Cotto for their fight but I don't think Margs had wraps on in that fight, considering the straight up power shots he hit Cotto with he would've killed him if he had. He had a reason to try and wear them for Mosley as Mosley had never been knocked out before.
