How come the WBA suddenly turned quiet about the plans to order GGG vs Jacobs?

I don't think Haymon had to do anything either. But it wouldn't be the first time the WBA has done some shady ****:

When he left Universum, Sturm first approached Oner and was looking for help to find a loophole to prevent a match with Golovkin. Oner put Sturm in touch with a third party. The third party told Sturm that he could pay the WBA a sum of money to make him the "super champion" and prevent the mandatory fight with Golovkin.
The third party went to the WBA with a written request to make Sturm the "super champion." For whatever reason, the WBA granted that request - but there was never an exchange of funds. The unknown third party, pulling off a swerve of his own, pocketed Sturm's money and never offered it to the WBA. He secured Sturm's new championship status with a simple written request.

"I never spoke to the WBA. Felix Sturm, he was with Universum, and when he wanted to leave Universum to be his own promoter - they approached me and they asked me how I could help them not fight Golovkin. So what happened is, I found a guy and spoke to him. And he offered Sturm a deal and said [to Sturm] "we can ask [the WBA] for super champion [status] and then you don't need to fight him.' And that's what happened," Oner told BoxingScene.com.

They want to milk Jacob's fake belt vs the likes of Mora, possibly Quillin rematch and will MAYBE face GGG in 1.5 years, when Jacobs hopes he gets a huge amount of money, Jacobs said so himself.

So if they convince the WBA now to hold still, not force the GGG mandatory, they make way more $ in the long run than having to face him now, where he wouldn't make good $.

Is that so hard to understand?

Ordering the fight doesn't benefit team Jacobs because team GGG will not win the purses bid

Dibell/Haymon will win the purses bid and Jacobs will not get the money he wants

Exactly, that's why the WBA suddenly turned quiet.

They had plans to reduce their fake belts and have just one WBA champion.

But they probably happily take some extra money so that Jacobs can keep his paper belt.

You said Haymon paid people off, now you switch it to "well maybe they convince the WBA to hold off so they can get more sanctioning fees"

Do you understand that's different then just paying someone off? What you described in your opening post was bribery, then you just switched to Haymon convincing them that they can make more money by not forcing a mandatory. Not the same thing and I assure you it isn't that deep, the WBA is into making money, they don't need Haymon to tell them how to be corrupt, they already are.

Any response from the WBA executive why?

This certainly requires explanation. It's very strange.

That's a waste of time, but I suppose its ok as long as the fight happens in 2017.
