Comments Thread For: Roman Gonzalez Focused on Cuadras Next, For The Right Price
Pound for pound king and WBC flyweight champion Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez drew a legion of media and fans to the weekly World Boxing Council press conference in Mexico City.
Man , someone has to tell these idiots the last thing fans want to hear over and over again is " I WANT/NEED TO GET PAID" It's like these guys are like free agents in between fights and they think they are as popular as baseball/basketball/nfl players looking to get signed by new teams. The truth is they are not. If I go tell 10 of my friends I am watching Chocolatito on HBO at least 9 of them will think its a documentary on Hershey in Spanish?
He is the #1 p4p fighter in the world. If there is more money to be had then it's just that he be getting it instead of the promoters or the network.
fine. Then thats a conversation he should be having with his manager or promoter. Im getting tired of fighters whining to the media all the time about how "if it dont make dollars.....etc". We as fans do not need to be a part of that conversation.......
Geezus. These fu cking guys man. Hes literally acting like he can go anywhere and people would immediately notice him. Hes acting like some big name superstar yet forgets to realize he fights on golovkins undercards

That's what happens when Andre Berto gets $1M to fight Josesito Lopez. Haymon really filled a lot of fighters heads with this nonsense. Andre Ward will be getting paid $2M for the Brand fight. Some of these numbers are so ******. Would Andre Ward ever see a $1M payday again if HBO got out of the boxing business?
