Comments Thread For: Hurd Wants Foes Like Bundrage, Ishe Smith For Upcoming Fights

Jarrett Hurd arrived for his fight against Oscar Molina in Brooklyn as an undefeated junior middleweight prospect. He left with another victory, this one by 10th-round technical knockout, and with a belief that he's advanced past the prospect level.

Seems like a solid jump up. I just wanna see Hurd more active. Kid is obvious a very respectable prospect, but he should be fighting 4 times a year.

I wish he didn't name-drop K9. Let that dude fizzle away into obscurity.

K9 is a good step up? Unless y'all are ready to put him in their with guys like Vanes and Willie Nelson.

With K9 you can at least say he was a champ. Or give him Ishe Smith.

That will never happen. He has to have dirt on the IBF for him to get all of those title shots. Maybe he will fight Hurd in an eliminator.

Im sure Haymon could scrounge up another undersized Mexican no-hoper (but he an Olympian doe) if Bundrage or Smith cannot be made.

The last Mexican he fought wasn't a no-hoper. He fought well and gave a good account of himself despite losing.

Personally I think shopworn vets like Bundrage and Ishe are a perfect step up for Hurd. How he does against them will show if he needs to develop a little bit more or if he's ready to go after the top guys.
