Comments Thread For: Jason Sosa's Promoter Eyes Francisco Vargas, Orlando Salido

With his upset knockout victory over previously undefeated Javier Fortuna this past Friday in China, Jason Sosa (19-1-4, 15KOs) now holds a version of the WBA 130-pound title (Jezreel Corrales is the other belt-holder for the organization). His promoter, Russell Peltz, would like to see his man face the marquee names in the division.

Sosa is pretty big at the weight. It would be a tough fight for Vargas and Salido.

Jezreel Corrales knocked out Uchiyama. That makes him the man in that division if you ask me.

Peltz is basically using the money excuse to duck him. "Doesn't make financial sense, doe."

Glad Sosa took that belt from a PBC fighter now its not being held hostage by someone thatll never unify. Vargas vs. Sosa is a must! Salido would be good too but we need more unification's in boxing.

I got Sosa in both of those fights and I'm a Salido fan. I give Sosa a shot against anybody in the division excluding Loma.

Did he say Lomachenko is a no name and just has a belt?

The Rigo of super lights, only Pedraza called him out. Jason eats too much leather, but he's perfect for stand your ground war. Salido is the least mobile and Vargas more aggressive. I'd watch it, on a Loma undercard. ooh, on the Canelo circus act.
