Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: Liam Smith Has Very Good Shot To Beat Canelo!

Liam Smith didn't need asking twice when it was suggested that he might like to defend his title against a certain Saul Canelo' Alvarez, live and exclusive on BoxNation. "Yeah, I'm having that," he said. "That's the fight I want let's get it on." Well, it is on, the deal is done and dusted and it's all happening in America on September 17.

Warren didn't even believe Smith could beat Trout.

I find it hard to believe Canelo or GGG will be put in with anyone that has a chance to defeat them prior to the Fall 2017 fight.

Warren will keep saying that until Smith gets into the ring with Canelo and realizes that Canelo's legs and thicker than Smith's body.

Canelo by decapitation in the 4th.

Fraudverez will keep fighting these Pretenders until he gets his major fight a& even next year it may not bw GGG... and G but I'm sure his management know the direction or they want him to fight after this Smith... but Smith has as much chance of beating him as Khan did...

The only chance smith has is no chance! I see a mid to late stoppage win for Alvarez with smith complaining after about being weight drained or injured in sum way that wasn't mentioned before the fight.

The best quote about this fight came from Bob Arum 'Smith he is not even the best fighter in his family this just about sums up this fight.

Canelo is a big ***** who should have fought Callum Smith and dont even talk about he is a super-middleweight, he fought Khan who was a welterweight and he could have made the fight at 154

so you know he is a wanker and next fight is at 154

Hearn is full of it. Liam's chances were getting Canelo out of his comfort zone. Get him away from his fans (the few he has left) and away from home. I can imagine how the bargaining went. Hearn: give us 10 mil and we'll bend over. Canelo: will you bend over for 5 mil? Hearn. Deal!
