Best current commentators?

i like atlas, lampley and kellerman. roy jones was pretty good too...only thing he'd do that pissed me off would be all, "if he does this or that he'll knock him out in 9 rounds".

I like Roy Jones because he seems to have a better understanding of what strategy the fighters are trying to employ in a fight. Larry merchant is also OK since he can compare fights today to fights that happened in the past.

i agree with everything al bernstein is the best announcer right now he is not biased and he always makes excellent points during the fights ...also that "all star cast" would be the best..

larry doesnt even talk about the fights, he just talks about whatever he wants. lampley IMO is the best, he does good PBP, sidenotes, observations. hes not always accurate though, sometimes mixing up fighters names, calling wrong punches, overreacting to mediocre punches.

merchant is NOT the best. i dont think there is a "best commentator", but jim lampley gets my vote.

Jim Lampley is a living legend.Without him HBO World Championship Boxing would not be the same.When you hear Jim speak you should thank god that you aren't deaf.He's that great.
