Yeah I read your post saying you had it 2rds for Porter and I shook my head i had it 2 for Thurman. I guess just a difference of how we score fights. I think a case can be made for both depending how a individual scores

Yeah Thurman got rocked and was hurt and Porters aggressive and physical but rarely lands , He's a football/boxer his style and fights are ugly. He didn't do enough to win. Thurman landed better throughout. If a ref actually followed the rules Porter would even get to finish fights because he'd constantly be ejected he has 1 gear.

    The right man won.

Thurman simply holds more boxing skills than Thurman does... and he proved to be more intelligent into the ring.

It's typical... one fan (TJ highway) rightfully says don't gloat and be an ignorant azzholeo, then IMMEDIATELY another fan (R_Walken), chimes right in, on cue, with the ignorance. Thurman indeed was rocked, more times than Porter in fact. That body shot practically dropped Thurman mid rounds. Shawn did get a bit sloppy the last 3rd of the fight, but otherwise it was give and take and a rematch would be just as good. For the record I had it either a draw or a 1 point win for Porter... as usual a champion gets a break. But it was close enough of a fight that I'm not complaining. Thurman though needs to lose the c ocky attitude, that's no good for the sport. He isn't the king, and within a couple fights, he will be dropped hard. His body is obviously weak, and he has a target on it now. With a division as stacked as this one, he won't be champion much longer.

Thurman rocked Porter at least twice. However, this is the second fight in a row where i've seen Thurman hurt by a body shot! I think Spence Jr. might be able to take out Thurman with one of those wicked lefts to the body! Would love to see Haymon and Arum come together and make Thurman vs. Bradley and Vargas (if he beats Brook) vs. Spence Jr.!

Welterweight title and both fighters trying to close the show? I'm not used to that. Haven't seen that in years. Skill and Action? I'm still trying to adapt to this. I'm overwhelmed. And on free TV, what in the hec is going on.

You don't like Thurman, and I understand why, but it's playing a factor in who you thought/wanted to win. Porter is one tough SOB and got cranked hard and clean on many occasions, his will and aggression made the fight close but it wasn't enough to be a clear winner of a great fight. Let's do it again, and hope Floyd stays retired.
