No one thought he'd be backing up Carl Froch. You're playing 20/20 hindsight there.

I think Kovalev will win by UD.

But I can see Ward winning this too. 50/50 too tough to call

Kovalev isn't a swarmer or pressure fighter and if Ward decides to go after it, guys can't keep him off. Ward was backing up Carl Froch.
Ward aint gonna be 'going after' Kovalev. Let's keep it real and put that idea straight to bed. Andre's best win was vs Froch; 2 judges had that 115-113, therefore had Froch won just one more round the fight would've been a majority draw. I take my hat off to Andre for scraping a win against Froch for the best win of his career.

Try watching the fights rather than boxrec. You might learn a thing or two.

Haha. I've watched that fight quite a few times, probably more than you. I'm sorry you can't handle the truth. Winning a close fight against Carl Froch is nothing to be ashamed of.
Who'd have guessed that would be his best ever win?

Ward CLEARLY won that fight, and he did it with a broken hand.

Yesterday, Golovkin's best win got manhandled and beaten-up by a Froch leftover who everyone thought was shot.

Good god, why do you alt's attempt to inflate a guy with a poor resume, by bashing a guy with a much better one? LMAO

Why don't you alt's use some common-sense before you post rubbish ?

And if Ward senses that Kovalev is tired or hurt, you can bet your life that he is gonna ask him some difficult questions..... how long you been following boxing, or Ward?

Also, Ward doesn't lie to his fans, like Hypekin does.....

                the lie:
Golovkin Would Fight Ward at 168 and Canelo at 154.....

                the truth:
                164 or No Fight.....
Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - Abel Sanchez, trainer of WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin, has made it absolutely clear that he's not going to budge from his position that a potential fight with Andre Ward will only happen if Ward - the recognized champion at super middleweight - is wiling to meet them halfway at a catch-weight of 164-pounds. Golovkin and his team received more than their fair share of heat in recent days, after placing a catch-weight demand on a potential fight with Ward. The reason for the heat, is because Golovkin was willing to fight both Carl Froch and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the full super middleweight limit.

                160 or no fight.....

Ward gets his ***** pushed in if tries to bull rush Kovalev. He will look to pot shot his way to a decision and will get caught and stopped. People seriously underrated Kovalev skills inside the ring. I take any bets as long as the fight is held in 2016 because you never know when a fighter gets old.

Warren also though it was a good idea to bring Kovalev as too skilled Cleverlys voluntary

It's imperative he maintains concentration, sticks to his far superior boxing skills, uses his height and reach, and dominates with straight shots and his phenomenal punch rate. While it's certainly no formality, I'm quietly optimistic that he will.

Pot-shot, clinch and head butt - it's the Andre Ward way.
