Groves/Murray weigh in shows why little G won't go 168

Groves is by no menas "a small 168-er". Quite a few people reported he struggels to make 168. He looked drained on weigh in.

Ggg will move up, but only after unifying all the belts. IMO he'll have 2 years to make something in 168 division. He'll be too old.

George Groves is really not a small SMW at all. Plenty of people say he struggles to make the weight.

He never looked that good under Fitzpatrick, looked weaker and sluggish but in the first Froch fight he was still essentially a Booth fighter but left him not long before the fight, and he was very big and strong. He was able to bully Froch in the clinches at times. He's by no means a small SMW. When you see him in person, he's roughly 6ft tall, or just under but looks very broad and strong.

I mean Murray was considered a massive middleweight if unskilled and his size and ballast allowed him to almost go the full 12 with GGG

Well George Groves who is a small 168lbr just made Murray look like a tiny little midget

Little G would be giving up so much size and strength at 168 some of these guys could just rag doll him and big man him

Even a guy like Sakic bika would be a real problem for little g just due to immense size and strength advantage

If we are talking about STRENGTH I don't think there are many out there stronger than Golovkin near his division.

And if you are that rare guy that stays at one weight thru a career, you fight pretty much every legit guy who challenges you at your weight.

You don't make excuses about how the guy isn't a draw, only to then reel off a handful of fights against fighters who are EVEN LESS OF A DRAW.

There are plenty of fights for him at 168.

Monzon, Hagler, same as GGG were career middleweights and never fought at 168. The difference is they had not people like Canelo duck him like the plague because of politics and cowardice.

Hagler's best wins were all against fighters that moved up to his weight, Duran and Hearns specifically.

And to his credit, Marvelous took on those elite guys that called him out from lower weight classes.

Not the case with Golovkin tho.
