    IN THE HISTORY of Mexican Boxing, which other Mexicans DROPPED a BELT to AVOID a mandatory? Is Canelo the first Mexican in boxing history to drop a belt to avoid a fighter?

              yeah I'm pretty sure he is the first to vacate his one and only title to avoid his mandatory. There may have been cases in the past where somebody has had a couple of titles and the IBF pulled some bull**** like they did to Fury but nothing even in the same ballpark as what Canelo has done.
