  • Comments Thread For: Eubank Sr: No Way Does My Son Lose To Gennady Golovkin!

Chris Eubank Sr., father and trainer of British middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. (22-1, 17 KOs), says there is no way that his son would lose a fight with IBO/IBF/WBC/WBA middleweight world champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32 KOs).

I can think of a few ways....
Bravo to him though if he puts Jr in there. He's been so damn controlling and protective. I really like them going after this, and the conviction in his words when he talks about this.

If i was Eubank Jr and my corner didn't tell me that i was loosing the first 6 rnds of a grudge match, and to up the work rate. If they just stood there strutting around saying nothing, i would seriously question their skills as a trainer, and mental state of mind.

Well Eubank Sr is known for running his mouth but it's entirely likely his confidence in his son is genuine. However until I see young Chris actually beat someone at world level (though guys like Chudinov and Spike are fairly solid) I'm not sure I'm sold. Still... they seem willing to step up to the plate and I'd rate Junior as a tough out for anyone else at 160 so in the absence of BJS or Jacobs I'd say it was an acceptable fight for GGG.

Don't give Chris much chance though, but he already has a loss and it's got to be worth a throw of the dice.

One of the more interesting fights I could imagine for GGG at 160

I think it's a better fight than Canelo. That's just my view. I think Jr would beat Canelo.

Eubank has to be confident. But he should be more gentlemanly about it like he portrays. He should say something along lines of i know we are massive underdogs but i genuinely feel we can beat GGG. He has weakness we can exploit.

I wonder if we see the Eubank cross the line like Curtis Stevens did and actually make Golovkin angry.

Ali pro claimed himself the best before he knew it so Eubanks is just doing the same. .
But Eubanks snr needs to be realistic at the same time. He lost to bjs so why not to ggg as well. Gggg isn't too bad.

So I'm saying be confident but humble as well. We don't all need to be like Ali, Naseem hamed. Be original.
