So they were 8 lbs apart, not 3-4 lbs. And that was back when Ward could still make 168.

Also: Ward weighed 186 re-hydrated in his last fight against Barrera.

Considering that Ward is a huge monster, and lil'G is not.....

..... how can you 2 wankers possibly justify that 164 demand..... ?

    164 or No Fight.....

Golovkin and his team are preventing this fight from happening.

Golovkin offered to fight the now retired Carl Froch at the super-middleweight limit of 168 lbs., as well as former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., but wants a catch-weight for Andre Ward?

The 2004 Olympic gold medalist has informed his promoter at Roc Nation Sports that he wants to fight Golovkin next, but he’s not going to fight him at 164 pounds.

“Ward wants to fight Golovkin, and he wants to fight next, but it won’t happen at 164-pounds. By accepting 168 with Carl Froch and Chavez Jr., but then demanding 164 with Ward – it’s their way of saying, ‘we don’t want to fight Andre Ward,” the source revealed to Boxing Scene.

No wait, let me guess..... lil'G did not really duck Ward, because (insert lame-ass excuse here)..... right? LMAO

He just needs to be on point, and real sharp, for Kovalev.

2 more fights would be perfect imo, but hey if Ward is ready to go next I'm in.

But yea Kovalev is a cracker, he will definitely present some problems..... I back Ward, and I favor him, but nobody will be too shocked if Kovalev beats him.

      GREAT fight, can't wait.
Don't get why most people don't see that...I expect the fight to be good, but I won't be surprised by a Ward domination because he has the pedigree. Its not as 50-50 as people think because Kova's biggest wins weren't against A1 comp. I give him credit for figuring out Hopkins and dominating, but at the end of the day 50 years old is still 50 years old, no matter how wily the 50 is.
