Thurman is more a thoroughbred while short Port is more a mule.
Not making a prediction, but Porter is the naturally bigger man. Maybe not taller, but bigger. Porter fought at 75kg in the amateur and Thurman fought at 69kg.

Granted short Port fought at 154lbs before but was outclassed and too small-short to stay competitive. The bigger more talented Kell Brook was able to come to the USA and beat Short {Port fairly easy using a jab to keep the little Short Port away the whole fight. Thurman beats Short fairly easy using his jab. Short Port looks good against shorter fighters like Broner. Thurman wins a decision.

Nah. Running is very unlikely when your opponent is a human bulldozer. You'll end up getting a leaping left hook if you're not careful, or countering as you move backwards. Ask Malignaggi.

Clinching fest is more likely in a Porter fight. Watch the Broner fight, or the Brook. Broner would rather lay on the ropes than run. Brook was more methodical and timed his shots as the bulldozer kept closing in. I expect Thurman to do the same as Brook did.
