Granted short Port fought at 154lbs before but was outclassed and too small-short to stay competitive. The bigger more talented Kell Brook was able to come to the USA and beat Short {Port fairly easy using a jab to keep the little Short Port away the whole fight. Thurman beats Short fairly easy using his jab. Short Port looks good against shorter fighters like Broner. Thurman wins a decision.Comment

Nah. Running is very unlikely when your opponent is a human bulldozer. You'll end up getting a leaping left hook if you're not careful, or countering as you move backwards. Ask Malignaggi.I think both fighters will take 1 or 2 rounds to feel each other out. I dont think Porter is gonna bum rush Thurman from the start, just like the Broner fight. He will try to box, and get out pointed. Then he will proceed to pressure thurman and break him down by the later rounds. I gaurantee you thurman will run and the crowd will boo him numerous times
Clinching fest is more likely in a Porter fight. Watch the Broner fight, or the Brook. Broner would rather lay on the ropes than run. Brook was more methodical and timed his shots as the bulldozer kept closing in. I expect Thurman to do the same as Brook did.Last edited by jqSide; 06-24-2016, 02:39 PM.Comment
