Mayweather isn't ducking Margarito, Margarito is just making it out as he is to build his rep. Mayweather is going after the big dogs for big money, sure 8mil is a good chunk of change but id take 23mil any day. Mayweather didnt go to 154 to fight Margarito, if margarito was worth more than yeah he would fight him.

Well, ferocity did point out a couple of publications, most notably ring have rated margarito very highly, which is admirable. However, i agree most of the hype comes from the mexicans on this board who all of the sudden, overrate margarito, and then marginalize mayweather, making statements like castillo is better than mayweather, or asking why is it a privledge to fight mayweather.

The fact is, if it wasnt a privledge to fight mayweather, margarito wouldnt be pushing for the fight so badly. Its as if everyone overnight forgot who mayweather was, which is why he has his defenders (in this case myself), i defend his actions because i see the sheer bias in the defenders of margarito, who overrate his accomplishments, and undermine mayweather.

If margarito was worth something, and he knew he could get a fight with DLH, he would do the same thing. But the thing is, Margarito doesnt have anywhere near that kind of charisma to earn a shot at DLH, nor does he have the credible resume. He will just have to wait, this isnt Lacy/Calzhage, where the ducking went on for years, Floyd has been at this weight for id say about 8 months, he can ****in wait, and stop crying, and fight some more lucrative opponents so that a title shot against mayweather not only looks earned, but less desperate to make some kind of name for himself.

If he gets destroyed by mayweather, then essentially, he goes back into obscurity, which is where he is right now.
