Keith Thurman has such a strong desire to fight Shawn Porter that he delayed the fight for damn near a year with a phony injury and a refusal to negotlate the fight.

This is damn sure not symbolic of a return to the Golden Era of welterweights. The winner of this fight should fight Errol Spence Jr. or Danny Garcia next. Instead, the winner will fight the 89th ranked welterweight in his next fight.

It's funny. Thurman never talked like this before, "risking his 0", "ready for the big stage", etc. HE knows that he has been fighting smaller, older, past it opponents who were not supposed to offer any real challenges to him.

Now that he is facing someone who is strong and fights on the inside, he is acting like it's his first televised fight or something. Like I've been saying, Thurman doesn't truly believe that he can beat Porter and that's why he pushed this fight off for so long.
