Comments Thread For: Hearn on GGG-Eubank: Contracts Drafted, Terms Virtually Agreed

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, who promote British middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. (22-1, 17 KOs), says a deal is nearly complete for a September fight with IBO/IBF/WBC/WBA middleweight world champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32 KOs), on a date in September in the UK.

Quite disrespectful to Doran to be looking past him like this. Of course, in reality, there's about a 2% chance (generous) of Eubank Jr losing to Doran, but still...

            Christ.

Just wanna say fair play to Eubank if this comes off. I fully expected it to be marketing tactics to get Eubanks name out there.

For what its worth i think this will ve great fun for the first 4-6 rounds, but i cant see Jnr staying with such an experienced fighter as GGG.

That said ive always got the impression that Jnr is only showing flashes of potential. Who knows what kind of performances he put in in sparring vs the likes of Carl Froch.

Should be fun build up and fun fight while it lasts.

Made my day... The only thing Eubank will beat is the record for poses & stares before the fight..

Does this kid have even the slightest chance of winning? He lost his only fight against world level competition... What's the point anyway? GGG must be getting paid very well over there in the UK.

Well if Eubanks has stepped up to face golovkin he deserves praise and respect.....that also includes Eddie Hearn for making this fight if this fight gets made...Hearn is by far the best promoter in the uk ..puts to shame frank warren & BJS for all there waffle about facing triple GGG .....I like this fight a lot and especially if golovkin fights over here in the uk ..
