It doesn't matter. It's irrelevant. I won't let you go winding off on another trail of BS.
You said Wlad struggles with pressure fighters.
I responded telling you that you are WRONG. His style is custom made for it.
You then said about a fight 11 years ago(!)
I re-informed you that Wlad changed his style after this, and also that we are not talking about the past.
He didn't do well against them, so him and his trainer came up with the appropriate style, which does VERY WELL against them.
SINCE THE CHANGE 11 years ago, he DOES do well against them, as proven by the fact he KTFO'ed Peters after, so YOU ARE WRONG.
Wlad has never fought a 6'6 250 pound pressure fighter ,anyone who actually studies video would know pressuring Wlad is the best option to get him off his game because you wont out box him on the outside if hes throwing punches . Fury is 6'9 has the tangibles to make the exception and even in that fight Wlad when pressured instinctively went to clinch he did in ALL his fights which wont work against a huge high level guy like Joshua. Im also pretty sure you are drinking when you post bc everyone sounds far off ,the topic IS Wlad vs Joshua should they fight or did you forget that in yet another pointless rant ?
FRANKFURT, Germany -- Wladimir Klitschko kept this one from going to the scorecards.
Five years after he was knocked down three times in a tough victory over Samuel Peter, the IBF and WBO champion battered and bloodied the Nigerian challenger before finally stopping him with 1:22 left in the 10th round of another dominating performance.
Klitschko (55-3, 49 KOs) unleashed a flurry of blows to send Peter to the canvas, an uppercut and left hook doing the final bit of damage. Referee Robert Byrd began counting but then waved his hands to call the fight over.
"He took a lot of punishment and fought until the end," Klitschko said. "But from round two, it was clear that his game plan wasn't working."
^^^ THANKS TO THE NEW STYLE LOL
Peter (34-4) at least showed up to fight, which is more than can be said for most opponents who stand across from Klitschko these days. And it's more than can be said for mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin, who backed out of the fight after it had been agreed upon.
Klitschko has won his last 13 fights, only twice going the distance and both times winning by a landslide on the scorecards. He's stamped himself as perhaps the most dominant heavyweight of his generation
^^^ SINCE THE 1st fight, not before
-- with the exception of perhaps his brother Vitali, the WBC champion who will be in the ring next month against Shannon Briggs.
The problem is the two Klitschko brothers will almost certainly never fight, depriving the sport of a matchup between the two best heavyweights -- long boxing's biggest glamour division.
Peter stood at least a puncher's chance against the younger Klitschko, especially after his performance five years ago. He hoped to get close and try to hurt Klitschko from inside, but the champion weathered the early attempts and the challenger tired in the later rounds.
^^^ NEW STYLE
Peter came out aggressively and connected with a left hook to Klitschko's head before the champion replied with a good right late in the opening round. Klitschko caught Peter with right-left combinations several times in the second and the "Nigerian Nightmare" had no response except for some wild roundhouse attempts.
Both fighters spent much of the third and fourth holding each other, and Klitschko managed to keep away with from the surging Peter in the fifth, hitting the Nigerian with several jabs that seemed to worsen the swelling under Peter's eye.
^^^ NEW STYLE
A big uppercut from Klitschko late in the sixth appeared to shake Peter, but the bell came to his rescue. Klitschko began hitting Peter almost at will in the seventh and again in the eighth, landing combinations to the Nigerian's head.
The shorter Peter tried to come inside but ended up mostly clinging onto Klitschko as both fighters pushed each other around the ring in the ninth.
Now you see what Klitschko does to aggressive 'pressure' fighters, you intellectually inferior casual.
Listen dumbium ,Wlad was still knocked downand was rocked numerous times by a guy who is HALF of what Joshua is . Wlad THEN would struggle with Joshua ..., TODAY hes certainly not the favorite so paste anything you like and stop drinking if you cant keep up .......
That was before he changed his style. I'll just have to keep telling you. It's like talking to a wall. Since Wlad changed his style 11 years ago he has the perfect style to deal with pressure fighters. Jab and Grab. You've been proven wrong and anything else you say is invalid.
Wlad has always clinched when to stop combinations or forced opposition to clinch ,no one ever stayed on the outside without getting pummeled or k.od ,only pressure on the inside has helped SOME survive or flat out running away "Haye " You simply dont know what your talking about a pressure fighter who cant be out muscled and who is great at inside fighting is Wlads weakness and certainly one bigger than even he is ,i wouldn't expect you to know that bc you cant fix ****** !
Wlad panics when pressured ,he clinches against Joshua it may end in a k.o bc hes never fought a guy stronger than him who can throw fast inside shots with minimal distance needed . Its much easier to get in on someone than it is to keep them out ,this is boxing 101 and Wlad will not win this with clinches . Wlad can win but time is on AJ's side will have to see after Wlad fights Fury .
Wlad used to panic, gone are those days.. Steward taught him well & Peter couldn't land a glove on him in rematch.. Wlad's faint movements & speed is underrated.. at 40 he still has one the quickest hands in HW boxing.. Fury himself admitted to Wlad being awkward to land cleanly on.. so far AJ has not been showcasing any of his defending skills, so going by what I see he is no match for Wlad now.. In 2 yrs time he could be much better...
Again. Wlad's style is perfectly suited to pressure fighters. Jab and grab. There is no pressure fighting on the inside with Wlad when your arms are tied in knots. LOL.
Funny how it's changed from a 'pressure fighter' to 'pressure fighter who cannt be out muscled and who is great at inside fighting'. LOL. STILL WRONG.
Still, I make more money betting on boxing than I do from my full-time job, so what do I know?
Wlad style is not made for pressure guys who have strength to hit on the inside . If you think Joshua has more of a chance out boxing Wlad on the outside than the inside where he nurtralizes Wlad to a simple clinch as hes strong enogh to throw anything he wants . you really are an imbecile . Wlad style wise is to force ppl to either clinch or out box him on the outside which until Fury was suicide but he didnt throw anything . Again you have no idea about the method Wlad uses yet TRY and sound smart .If that was the case you would realise he is NUTRALIZING aggressive fighters by clinchin that foesnt mean hes tailored for aggressive fighters ,hes tailored for knocking guys out on the outside as most TALL fighters are who rarely punch to the body or inside in general.......boxing 101 !
Reality check : Its 2016 and Wlad would have to CLINCH a 6'6 250 pound YOUNG athletic talent before he gets in on him and would have to HOPE he lands an out side shot to win THIS match!
Wlad used to panic, gone are those days.. Steward taught him well & Peter couldn't land a glove on him in rematch.. He always clinched in any fight when avoiding trading shots . Its a good tactic but Joshua is no small HW _ As stated we will see after Fury who style wise is a certain loss to Joshua . Wlad vs Joshua would be the better fight .
Again! I'll say it again. Wlad's style is perfect for dealing with pressure fighters. There is no fighting on the inside because Wlad ties up so well. A pressure fighter just gets his head punched off walking forward to get inside himself.
I have no idea but somehow I predicted exactly what would happen and bet on fury at 4/1 and made a killing from the bookies.
No he wouldn't have to 'clinch a guy before he gets in on him'. He would jab joshua's head off, and clinch if he himself missed a big shot (which in itself is unlikely given Joshua's shocking lack of upper body movement in the pros).
I am actually starting to feel sorry for you, so I'll tell you the real way to beat Wlad:
The way to beat Wlad is to play him at his own game. You need to tie up good on the inside, there is no fighting on the inside, just the odd punch in the clinch, like you saw fury throw. You need a great jab that can reach him from outside his range. and you need great body movement. You need fast feet to get in and out quickly with clean, effective work, whilst moving your body to avoid any jabs coming at you. None of this has been displayed by AJ so far. If I'm wrong, post a video link. But I'm not.
We are not comparing styles we are comparing fighters . And no Wlad would not fare well against an inside pressure giant HW like Joshua opposed to someone who will try and out box him from the outside unless they are nearly 7 feet tall ,thats common sense .
Let me EDUCATE you one more time , Wlads style makes you either clinch or try and out box him ,those who stay in the middle end up like Pulev ! AJ would be EFFECTIVE on the inside with explosive punching while Wlad would have to cover up for dear life bc he doesnt have those skills .I know your boxing is limited but its becoming annoying to have to explain SIMPLE things over and over ...im done here !
Wlad doesn't make people clinch, he clinches them to stop the inside fighting.
AJ would not pound him on the inside because Wlads style is Jab and Grab. That means he clinches every opponent when they are in range.
Sorry but you have been proven wrong and you've gone in my sig for all to see. I make lots of money betting on boxing so either im the luckiest person on earth or i know what im talking about. And i know what im talking about. I'm done with you. Jab and Grab means Klit will clinch you if you are in range. That's a fact. So this discussion is over.
Povetkin and Jennings two of the better fighters he fought initiated Clinching as did many guys afraid to get hit ...WRONG again. You are also on the other thread arguing about a cut in the fury fight ..A sig YOU posted which shows effective inside fighting against Wlad...you cant possibly be this ****** can you? My guess is you are Dumbium..both spell check use the word CASUAL and are usually wrong on everything and sound basically ******ed with little about the thread....must be one of the same......
