  • Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Promoter: Saunders Not Interested, Eubank Possible

So with it being clear that a bout between Gennady Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) and Saul Alvarez will not take place this year, the focus for Golovkin is on his next fight which will take place in either August or September. And there is rampant speculation that he could be going to Britain to face Chris Eubank Jr. (22-1, 17KOs) in his next outing.

It's not looking good for GGG. I can't imagine him landing Eubank or Saunders before they rematch each other.

No Jacobs, Saunders, Lara or Canelo? Basically we're looking at Eubank, Heiland , N'Dam or Lee? Those are ok fights but only if be lands a big fish later in the year.

Of course he doesn't, he has to go on his run of British level opponents for the next 1.5 years before he steps up again and loses his title... Boxing is a fking joke nowadays...I really wish we had a UFC type setup with one champ and one Dana White type dude at the top running sht...

It's a miracle any good fights get made honestly....

GGG vs eubank i'd take it...but im not dying for it..just like any other 160lb fighter he can fight..

sad that this possibly great fighter doesnt have a class that can solidify him..

i would ask him to move up but the G strings would attack me.

billy has already said he wouldnt even sign to fight ggg even if him and eubank could tag team him...HIS BELT IS NULL AND VOID!

GGG is the champ of all of 160...EVERY BELT..idgaf wat billy has to say about it

yet ggg still letting canelo dictate how his career goes.

Very, very lame if Saunders doesn't take it. After all the talk, he won't have a leg to stand on if Eubank Jr. does get in the ring with Golovkin – win or lose. At best he'll probably spout off some shit about "being more clever and maximising earnings" or something, fed to him from Warren.

(This from Saunders' most loyal fanboy on here.)

Not surprised at all by Saunders' behavior.

The fact that we are still talking about fighters that we know wont fight him is the problem. Golovkin and his team let themselves get strung along by the same fighters over and over instead of focusing on fights that actually can be made and mean a damn.

A fight with Ward at 175 or whatever would solidify him. Beating the supermiddle champs in the meantime would be great, too. No more Wades, please.

I want to see him in with Porky Medina next, to see how he performs at 168.
