Taxes are the least of Vargas' problems. A quick stop, slippery shoe, outright robbery is not unheard of. Kell isn't standing still either, his chocolate chip recipe can use the slow feet provided by Vargas. This is the best money Vargas will ever make, regardless of taxes, unless he pulls off an upset. A big upset.

I'm sure it's a minor niggle.

Fact is, Brook should be looking at this as a necessary evil. His popularity and name recognition was never sky high and it's dropped in the last couple years. He has to realise getting a unification on home soil is the priority and the recognition that comes with that, not the money. The money can and will come later if he wins.
