If this is true then Kell Brook is really ****ing up his career. He is lucky that either him or Vargas are getting near £2m for this fight as I can't see it doing that well on Sky Box Office and it isn't really a football stadium fight.

Vargas is the weakest 147lb champion with zero name recognition in the UK (only hardcore fans will have seen the Bradley fight) plus Brook is not a PPV fighter, he headlined a PPV vs Frankie Gavin but I can only imagine that the numbers for that were appalling as I believe it was a last minute replacement headliner and the general quality of the card was poor.

Matchroom have since improved the general quality of PPV cards and would need to add on more names and competitive fights onto the card to make it worthy of PPV,, as they have with this weekend's O2 card.

Hearn knows the truth . All those years of fighting bums are catching up and you can't give money which doesn't exist. Had Brook been fighting stellar opposition then there wouldn't be a problem. All these fighters who they claimed turned down fights were given peanuts to fight Brook. They are used to making more money and bringing them over to the UK will cost more. Brook will have to take far less money as he has done nothing to build his name otherwise he is back to square 1 of fighting bums before Spence takes away that belt.
