Comments Thread For: Wilder Talks Unification, Targets Joshua For October/November!

At the time of Showtime announced its multi-fight agreement with unbeaten heavyweight titlist Anthony Joshua, fellow undefeated champ Deontay Wilder was tucked away in another part of England training for what at the time was supposed to be the biggest fight of his career.

I don't see this fight happening for one reason: to protect one of them from getting exposed.

      Wont happen.

AJ wqould smash this yank wanker all over the ring for as many rounds as her chooses.

Wilder is the WORST hw 'champion' of all time. I've passed wind with a better punch resistance than Wilder.

Also, how can you allow any man to claim the big prize in boxing with a name like 'Deontay'?!

He should be banned for his name alone. But on a serious note ladies and gents, it's a disgrace that yet again the American public cheer and hola for a man who regularly beats his wife and children. For some reason (God knows why) ALL Americans approve of domestic violence.

I'd love to know, seriously, why do you Americans think it's OK to hit a woman and a child?

AJ will DESTROY this cowardly idiot, he'll do it for the women and the children of this world.

I don't see them letting AJ step it up to this level yet. He seems very protected, which is understandable. I REALLY want this fight to happen though. I respect both guys.

Ha! Hey, we allow Deontay the same reason we allow Latisha, Shanara, La-A (the mother said it was pronounced LaDasha) etc etc etc.... low-classed goofball idiots who actually think something ****** like that is a classy name.

As for Wilder, anyone who watches the boxing sites knows he always keeps threatening to unify.... then after the fight buildup he stops talking about it until the next fight buildup. And really, your analogy is correct, if just for one fact: Joshua starts fast and Wilder takes til round 3-4 to even remember basic boxing 101. So yeah, Wilder gets iced early vs Joshua. And I can't wait to check that out. I would probably even buy the PPV, or do a George Costanza and go by someone's house who bought it... sponge my way in.

I think Wilder was done for beating up a **********, not his wife.

Boxers and boxing management are two very different things and I wish people here understood that. These guys pay managers BIG money to make these decisions, yet fans blame the fighters directly.

Joshua seems to be very talented and I like his patience and perceptiveness in the ring. He's not just smashing, he's measuring, then going in for the kill.
Wilder is not a gifted boxer but his vulnerability and incredible power making him very exciting to watch. Wilder just attempted to fight Povetkin in Russia, not something many guys are eager to do, so his word has some value.

Another so-called American displaying his blind hatred for an American fighter.

Probably fresh off the boat from some somewhere or right across the border.
