While nothing has been confirmed so far, there is a possibility that Jesus Cuellar vs. Abner Mares might get rescheduled to a date in July, at a venue in California. The fight was scheduled to take place this coming Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The card is headlined by Keith Thurman vs. Shawn Porter.

Mares is an entertaining fighter, hopefully he's back to 100% soon, but if he's not they shouldn't turn a blind eye to his blind eye. Oscar Rivas got pulled from a good fight a couple of months ago because of his eye and the talk was he probably wouldn't fight again, but they managed to find a commission willing to allow him back already. Seems like there is a clear risk there and would hate to see Mares end up with a Margarito eye.

His eye must be pretty bad if the NYSAC let Margarito fight with a glass eye. Mares should really start to consider if its worth it to keep on fighting. That gold plated benz he has tells most that he enjoys a lavish lifestyle, hopefully he put some $ to the side so hes not just fighting for the paycheck or to keep living beyond necessary means. But thats 1 good thing I can say about pbc doe, thats if you are going to fight for a paycheck thats the 1 organization you want to fight under.

Met him a handful of times in public settings and in his gym and always the same , nose up in the air with his gang-****ing lackeys following behind . Also this whole injury thing sounds believable because of Mares cross-eyededness but sounds fishy at the same time . Might be a ploy from PBC to build up the fight and make people aware of it ... announce the fight , make press conference , then postpone fight claiming one fighters injured . I couldn't disagree more. Abner is one of the classiest guys in the sport. He's a family guy who does not socialize with gang****ers.

I Am Mexican American too bro .Its hard to say he doesn't associate with gang members when his Brother Adan Mares is tattoo'd up with HG which stands for Hawaiian Gardens Gang on his right shoulder and the Mexican Mafia logo under his left eye . Mares whole team is from that gang . U either dont live in Southern California or are one of his many lackeys . If that's the case. Make sure u get paid for carrying and cleaning those belts .
