  • How long do you think Fury's reign as heavyweight champion will last

Im not too big on the guy. He has talent but their are a few guys I would favor to beat him.

I just dotn see him holding on to the title very long especially if he attempts unification with Wilder, Joshua or defends against Ortiz...they are dynamic heavies and put their punches together. All 3 have elite power but different strengths and weaknesses.

I say depending on the opponents, he wont be champion of the world after the end of 2017

Fury if he gets by Klitschko will have a mandatory against Ortiz, Wilder and Joshua will avoid him like the bubonic plague, their handlers won't allow it. Fury will be frozen out by Haymon and Hearn, left with only Ortiz and a Klitschko trilogy as anywhere to go. I expect Fury to retire And vacate before a come back unhindered by holding the belts which in turn Wilder and Joshua can hide behind whilst in receipt of the ones Fury does not own.

If he gets by Klitschko, I expect at least 3 lower level guys to build up a unification, or for the other heavies to weed themselves out of contention

HW gets complicated. much of the money is european. american networks often play second fiddle,a nd are a secondary revenue source to UK gates and TV money.

from all accounts, joshua is the biggest / potentially the biggest star at HW. kid won a gold medal at home, and he's good looking. i think he can beat fury, but i don't think he's ready yet. it also looks like showtime wants to try and make a push to get him onto american TV. they need to take what hey can get, as their boxing has taken a hit since a few years ago, when they were really starting to give HBO a run for its' momney.

as always, money is gonna talk. fury isnt' going to avoid these guys if he can't make that kind of money fighting cans. if he can, he will fight the cans.

HW has parody. i'm excited to see these fights materialize. we need to A: pressure the networks and promotrs for big fights. and b: not crap on the guys who lose, or you can kiss the tough matchmaking goodbye.

when you get a decent division, especially at HW, you have to get used to the idea of seeing the guys who lose big fights, even when they get knocked out, in more big fights down the road.

I dont think Fury vs Joshua will be as easy to make as wilder vs Fury...not because of the team or promo but I think Wilder is ready to prove himself. Joshua too but He may say "joshua is too green"

Its close I really don't know what version of Klitckho shows up for the rematch so I cant call it based off just that fight but if he gets passed the old man no doubt he wont be champ by the end of the year. He just dont have a lifestyle of an athlete hes going to have to fake injuries so he can indulge his fat ass for two or three months ; fighting back to back elite level opponents is not for a slob -- hes not about dat life.

He can stay at the top so long as he wants, or until his body fails him. I don't think he's going to have a particularly long run mainly due to his poor habits out of the ring which are gonna catch up with him sooner or later, but I can't see anybody beating him that's currently fighting in the division. Joshua's too stiff and limited (and will be coddled to within an inch of his life), Wilder is a malcoordinated joke, and Ortiz gets outboxed. Wlad probably still has the best chance of dethroning him, and I doubt he's going to be able to do that in the rematch.

Joshua aligning with Showtime and Hearn's current working relationship coupled with Hearn freezing Fury out of Sky, now that Joshua has IBF they don't need Fury. Everything points towards Joshua vs Wilder down the line after they've milked the defences until both have mandates upon them. I don't expect to see Parker or Povetkin get their chance before both AJ and Wilder have fought each other, that fight has Vegas PPV wrote all over it.

I see Ortiz and Klitschko as the main threats, Wilder and AJ wouldn't land a glove on Fists of Fluff, yet I see fluffy fists stopping both.
