Comments Thread For: Julian Williams' Coach Reacts To Comments From Charlo's Trainer

In this Q&A up and coming trainer and boxing mind Stephen "Breadman" Edwards talks about the recent fights in the super welterweight division and the recently mandated IBF mandatory super welterweight title defense that will pit champion Jermall Charlo against Edwards' fighter and #1 rated contender Julian Williams.

There's only 3 fighters that Jermall Charlo can choose other than J-Rock, and still keep my respect: Cotto, Canelo, and GGG! If he vacates to fight anybody else, it is what it is...a duck! I wouldn't mind seeing Charlo vs. Andrade, but I would still see that move as a duck! Charlo vs. J-Rock, Lara vs. Andrade, and Charlo vs. Hatley! Make it happen! One card, 3 Championship Fights! It's Showtime!

Man I would love the winner of J-Rock/Charlo vs Canelo/Smith.

Somebody mentioned that Jermall could be aiming for Danny Jacobs, but I don't see that working out. Jermall moving up to 160 doesn't make since unless he can't make 154.

One thing I like about Breadman is that he never talks bad about fighters. He always tries to find the positive in each fighter. Great ambassador for the sport.

Did Ronnie LITERALLY say that about Williams going to hell? That sounds pretty uncharacteristic.

They don't want that work Bread! Sad too cause Charlo vs Williams would be a heck of a fight

Nobody fighting J Rock unless it is Ordered and even then it is a great chance that even if they order it the belts get dropped and he ends up fighting for a Vacant Title

If he vacates the title, then it will definitely be a duck. I don't want to see that, though, because J-rock is one of my favorites in the sport. I want to see him get his shot.

Edwards seems like a classy guy. I hope both his fighters can get their title shots. Andrade is already a proven champion...it's only a matter of time for him. But J-rock...so much disrespect for J-rock. If Charlo don't want none of J-rock, what more is left for him?...move up in weight?...he's not going to fight his brother or Lara. So, really, Charlo is stuck between a j-rock & a hard place...

Either way J-Rock is getting that strap and then he can fight the winner of Charlo-Hatley for the WBC. Winner of that one has to see Andrade.
